New Enhanced Workflow ISO Recording “EavesDrop” and One-Click VIP Acquisition “StageDoor” to Debut in Booth N810

Palisades, NY (October 14, 2019) – The Video Call Center (VCC) will demonstrate major advances in video call based TV production with a showcase of new additions to the VCC production platform at NAB Show New York in booth N810 in NYC’s Javits Center, October 16-17. Highlights include EavesDrop™ ISO recording and StageDoor™ VIP acquisition technology, as well as a showcase of client productions from Major League Baseball, MSG Networks, Discovery, Fox Sports Networks, TLC, WWE Entertainment, and others.

VCC EavesDrop™ is the first fully-automated workflow for recording video calls.  It enables hosts, producers, reporters, and other content creators to instantly record two-way interviews with any remote contributor without having to rely on control rooms or crews. The system automatically records both sides of the VCC remote interview and adds metadata with the time, date, network, and subject’s name to make the content easy to find.  Compatible with a wide-variety of high-speed third-party transfer apps such as Latakoo, EavesDrop makes it easy to ingest content into an edit system for immediate finishing, or to push to playout servers without relying on technical teams or manual workflows. 

VCC StageDoor™ provides a new, one-click solution that smooths the way VIP guests remotely join a production. Supplementing VCC’s famous Caller CloudⓇ services, VCC clients use StageDoor to reduce their time-to-air, acquiring first video in as little as 24 seconds. The new smart calling logic enables VCC producers to send a text or email to a guest. The guest then simply clicks on a link contained within that message. StageDoor does the rest, automatically handling all the setup and routing behind the scenes, identifying the guest’s device, and triggering available video chat capabilities including native apps such as Apple FaceTime and WebRTC-based Gruveo and Jitsi, in addition to popular downloaded apps such as Skype. Seamless routing between apps and VCC endpoints results in an acquisition workflow that is effortless for producers and guests alike.

 

Also on display will be improvements to production and guest interfaces, enhanced smart video call handling logic, new advanced call booking options, automated graphics and more.
